Join the Conversation: AI, Disability, and Healthcare Access in California

Rolling Start Inc. is helping spread the word about an important virtual community conversation hosted by leading disability rights organizations. This event is a chance for people with disabilities to share their experiences navigating California’s healthcare system, especially when technology like AI or algorithms affects access to services. Your voice matters. See the flyers below for full details and click the following button to register.

Community Conversation: Healthcare in California
The Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law, the National Council on Independent Living, the California Foundation for Independent Living Centers, and the Disability Organizing Network would like to talk with you in a virtual meeting on AI and access to healthcare in California.
We want to hear about your experience getting healthcare and health insurance in California. This includes care you get through Medi-Cal or Medicare.
We want to know if you have heard about a computer program or other technology (like an algorithm or AI) being used to decide what services you can get. We are especially interested in hearing about care you get at home or in your community — like help from a home health aide, nursing care, or other services that help you live on your own.
This meeting is a chance for you to share any problems or challenges you have had getting the care and services you need.
Date: September 15, 2025
Time: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time
