Autism Awareness Month

“Inclusive Quality Education For All”

Every April is World Autism Month, beginning with United Nations-sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. Throughout the month, we focus on sharing stories and providing opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of people with autism, fostering worldwide support. This year, we are committed to creating a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential.

In celebration of Autism Awareness Month, we honor the contribution of people with autism and the autistic community, recognizing the needs of people on the autism spectrum and their families. Recognizing the need for supporting, understanding, accepting, including, and empowering people with autism.

Each year, World Autism Awareness Day has a different and unique theme and this year’s theme for the day is “Inclusive Quality Education For All”.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, schools were shut down and classes were held online. This had a disproportionate impact on students with autism. This theme aims to highlight what more can be done to provide inclusive and quality education for people with autism.
