Lisa Hayes Represents Region 9 at NCIL 2025:

Advocacy in Action

At this year’s 2025 National Council on Independent Living (NCIL) Conference, Rolling Start Inc.’s Executive Director, Lisa Hayes, proudly represented not just our organization, but the entire Region 9 coalition, which includes Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and U.S. territories in the Pacific.

During the Day on the Hill Prep and Regional Caucus, Lisa joined a panel of regional leaders to help shape collective strategy and messaging ahead of meetings with lawmakers on Capitol Hill. As the Region 9 Representative, she played a key role in guiding discussions that focused on advancing disability rights, healthcare access, independent living, and community accessibility across the western United States and Pacific territories.

📣 From preparing advocates to ensuring every legislator hears the voices of their disabled constituents, Lisa’s leadership exemplifies Rolling Start’s deep commitment to local action with national impact.

We’re incredibly proud to have Lisa representing Rolling Start Inc. and Region 9 with strength, vision, and purpose, helping to ensure that the Independent Living Movement continues to grow across every community we serve.
