Office Manager

Position Summary:

The Office Manager coordinates and oversees administrative duties as directed by the Executive Director (ED) to ensure that the office operates efficiently and smoothly. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to, managing the front office phones, greeting visitors, managing office supplies, administrative tasks, and coordinating food distribution.

The Office Manager is highly organized and self-motivated, and has excellent attention to detail. Additionally, they model, foster and when needed can teach independent living skills to people with disabilities and older adults who are focused on living more independently within their communities.

TBI Specialist

Position Summary:

The TBI Specialist will provide services that promote independent living to persons with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) to live more independently within their community, by providing TBI core services including supported living, community reintegration, vocational support, informational and referral, and professional and public community education and outreach. Direct services will include housing, peer support, support, case management, independent living skills training, benefits planning, transition, and individual advocacy services. Core services may be provided in the office, community, or home through in-person, virtual, or through telephone contact.

Outreach Coordinator/Public Program Enrollment

Position Summary:

The Outreach Coordinator for public program enrollment will lead the Rolling Start’s efforts to enroll consumers into programs such as Cal Fresh- (AKA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), Cal Works and Medi-Cal. This position will work with the Executive Director/Program Manager to conduct outreach and enrollment activities while promoting a culture of healthy living and motivating participants to take action and enroll. The Outreach Coordinator will enroll income qualified people who reside in our service area.

These responsibilities also include creating and maintaining a strong partnership between food banks and other community organizations and agencies with a focus on people with disabilities and older adults in order to provide exceptional outreach and assistance to consumers in need of these benefits.

The Outreach Coordinator will maintain an up‐to‐date knowledge and understanding of these programs and tracking requirements

Advocate

  • Full Time Position
  • San Bernardino, CA


Position Summary:

The Advocate will community organize RSI consumers and stakeholder partners on a variety of issues impacting people with disabilities such as housing, transportation, health care, emergency preparedness, youth outreach, voting, and accessibility. The Advocate will attend meetings, public hearings and statewide events; they will be the voice of RSI! They will be responsible for recruiting, training, and facilitating volunteers and groups. The Advocate will work with RSI consumers to develop and strengthen self-advocacy skills so they can effect change on issues personally affecting them.

The candidate must be an energetic and passionate advocate, enjoy public policy, have excellent communication and writing skills and have the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in groups. This currently is being offered as a full-time position with benefits at 30 hours a week.
